Pollen 02:47
i dont remember all your friends or if we even met at all but i remember freaking out watching you walk your first wall with your head down and headphones on storm clouds tightly tying down to your backpack like balloons that flooded all the first floor rooms inside your house and in your head the monsters mating in your bed ran downthestairs and at out the door the lightning scaring them once more i dont remember how we danced or if we thought dancing was fun but i remember how you tried to sing like Laura Stevenson the muscles shaking in your throat creating all the pretty notes that hung like pollen in the air getting trapped in my clothes and hair

Parking Spot 03:28
driving drunk looking for a parking spot i tell you i know just what to say to the cops if they ask youve been so disinterested these days unless its about work youve got nothing to say tell me about the girl who stole your stapler or any one of your million rude customers give me ten reasons your boss hates your guts explain to me how hard work alone is never good enough a mid-sized suv started pulling out just as you started to list all your doubts about me parallel parking isnt easy in a shouting match i wish i had a better excuse for all these dings and scratches too bad i cant take back all the hours you made me wait im sorry feels better than eighty on the seventyeight the one apologizing doesnt get to be the one who says when its all okay now (its not okay now) driving drunk giving up my parking spot ill give you a ride home its too rainy to walk
3.
Lay Me Down 03:12
lay me down and pull the tongue from my mouth so i cannot tell a lie so i cannot make a sound save for the harshness of my throat sounds like a broken bleating goat in the nondescript midwest bind my hands and break all the metas from their tarsals so i cannot grab your throat so that i cannot play a song a song that lies and steals your name a song that borrows all your time and leaves a bad taste in your mouth cast me out into the waves one shade of blue into the next and hope that i will never wash back up onto the shore but if i do wont you be so surprised to see that i devolved and grew a shell youll have to smash it with your teeth and suck me from my living room into the next shade of blue
4.
Melatonin 04:43
be gone from me whatever it is you are pack up your things and leave whatever it is you are do your worst on me and dont stop till your through yeah you with your salmon colored eyes at the edge of my bed dont stop till your through inside my head over my bed i remember all my dreams and you show up in every single one of them
